What is Net Operating Cost (NOC)?

Break even analysis that identifies the cents per gallon cost to operate a retail location. (i.e. “Cost per Gallon of Doing Business”)

Why is understanding my NOC important?

• Stores with an NOC of .15 cents or greater have a 50% chance of being out of business in 3 years.
• As an example, a major brand store chain will not build any new stores that do not have an NOC of zero or less.
• The National Association of Convenience Stores average of NOC is .099 Cents.
